  1.                                  Main Menu

  4.         The Main  Menu has two modes  of operation: Normal and  Setup. If a
  5.  team and  bowler database has  been loaded from  the opening screen,  then
  6.  Normal mode is used. Otherwise, it is assumed that the league name entered
  7.  at the opening screen  is the name of new league to  be defined, and Setup
  8.  mode is chosen.

  13.  Setup mode resticts the Main Menu to one item (although the remaining menu
  14.  items are displayed):

  16.  1) Setup

  18.         This forces  a league to  be created with  the name entered  at the
  19.  opening screen.  To start defining the  team and bowler databases  , press
  20.  the "Enter" or "Return" key. Otherwise, press the escape 'ESC' key to exit
  21.  BowlStat.

  26.         Normal menu mode will be entered  if either of these two conditions
  27.  exits:

  29.                 1) An existing database has been loaded.
  30.                 2) A database has been created in Setup mode.
  31.  
  32.         Either of these conditions will cause the following Main Menu items
  33.  to be displayed:

  35.    1) Options/Defaults - Allows various program settings to be changed.
  36.    2) BOWLER - Scores  - Allows input of bowler string scores.
  37.    3) BOWLER - Edit    - Allows altering of the bowler database.
  38.    4) BOWLER - Add     - Allows an addition to the bowler database.
  39.    5) BOWLER - Delete  - Allows the deletion of a bowler from the database.
  40.    6) BOWLER - 69's    - Allows input of the number of "69" strings  scored
  41.                          by a  bowler (default Candlepin  Award). This menu
  42.                          item may be changed  by using the Defaults Editor.
  43.    7) TEAM - Points    - Allows input of the number of points won by a team
  44.                          for a given series.
  45.    8) TEAM - Edit      - Allows altering of the team database.
  46.    9) Print Options    - Allows printing of various reports. The two  types
  47.                          available are:

  49.                         1) Average Sheets - by Average
  50.                                           - by Name
  51.                                           - by Team
  52.                                           - Bowler/Team databases
  53.  
  54.                          2) Captain Sheets (lane sheets)
  55.  
  56.     0) EXIT            - Various options to quit BowlStat and return to
  57.                          DOS.

  59.  Note: Yearly Statistics (Bowler & Team) and schedules have been moved into
  60.        a  seperate  program  named  BOWLYSM.  Please  run  that program for
  61.        further information.
